Moreover, thanks to the optional steam condenser with heat recovery and a water recirculation tank, energy normally used for heating up water is saved.

Device Configurations
Even if thermal disinfection is always preferred, some instruments and pieces of equipment cannot outstand elevated temperatures, thus requiring chemical disinfection.
Uncompromised performance is achieved when alternating thermal and chemical disinfection cycles. The whole LC trolley washers’ range is available in different configurations for heating washing water and drying air:
- Indirect steam heating and electrically heated drying;
- Fully indirect steam heating;
- Fully electrical heating;
- Combined indirect steam heating with electrical heating; to activate as back-up solution in case of temporary lack of steam.

A first pre-heating 65 °C / 149 °F tank reduces cycle time by heating water and maintaining its optimal temperature for the washing phase.
A second pre-heating 85 °C / 185 °F demineralized water tank radically reduces thermal disinfection process time and, consequently, total cycle time. With the optional water recycling kit, thermal disinfection water can be recovered in the first pre-heating tank for the next cycle's washing phase.

3 Tanks
By adding a third tank, LC Series' modularity allows to recover water from up to two phases of the previous cycle, depending on cycle setup and load. This helps to save time, energy, and water as there is no need to empty and re-fill all the tanks at every cycle.

The fourth tank can be used to reduce cycle time when the pre-washing phase is needed. This configuration, in compliance with regulations and according to the defined washing/disinfection process, makes it possible to reuse an even greater amount of higher-quality water for subsequent cycles.

Hybrid Version
LC 80 series’ configuration can be tailored to alternating chemical and thermal disinfection processes without compromising either productivity or water/chemicals/energy savings. A single washer optimized for different types of loads.
The standard configuration of the hybrid version includes three tanks, one of which is dedicated to chemical disinfection. A fourth tank can be added to enable water recycling when the device is used in thermal-disinfection mode. In fact, the device acts as described in the three-tank thermal disinfection version with an additional tank for chemicals.
