Water is a precious resource and developing technologies to save it is a never-ending job. Our Advance Eco Options help customers conserve water and save energy during the sterilization process, assisting them in their environmental goals.
Water consumption represents one of the primary consumption for an SPD, with average annual water consumption that can be as high as 6.458.400 liters (considering a typical university hospital with four 18-STU sterilizers with house steam – 15 cycles per day, 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year). Even though our sterilizers are already efficient, our state-of-the-art ECO technology further reduces energy and water consumption with the lowest operating costs per load. In particular, water usage can be significantly reduced to less than one-tenth.
ECO 1
Equipped as standard in all our sterilizers, this water-saving package is part of our environmental water-saving policy. This solution enables an average water consumption reduction of 35%, with less water required to cool the drain before discharge.
ECO 2
This option involves the use of water from a chilled water loop. It allows over 90% reduction of total water usage by the vacuum pump thanks to a set of high-efficiency heat exchangers. Drain water is also cooled without needing separate tap water to lower the temperature before discharge.
