Relying on Green Energy

We use more than 95% electricity from renewable sources in our headquarters and production facilities. Solar power plants of nearly 3,944 PV modules - the size of twenty-two tennis courts - have been installed on our plants' roof space. The systems generate around 2,173 MWh of electricity per year - enough for around 620 households with an average annual consumption of 3,500 kWh per year.

Reducing Carbon Emissions

By using renewable energy, we are collectively avoiding around 1,475 tonnes of CO2 – equivalent to the annual output of over 70,000 trees, 12 million fewer kilometres driven by car or almost 18 million kilometres flown.

Reducing Transportation

We rely on local suppliers to keep delivery routes as short and efficient as possible. This approach significantly reduces CO₂ emissions, limits road congestion, and supports regional supply chains. Where feasible, we also make rail transport available for shipping, further lowering environmental impact while ensuring reliable, large-scale deliveries to our clients.

Reducing Waste

Reducing energy and water waste is the easiest way to become more environmentally conscious. In all of our facilities, LED lighting is replacing old lighting systems. We have installed sensors so that rooms are only lit when people are in them, and we have started using the outside temperature to cool our server room in winter. We are increasingly using heat pumps to heat our buildings and domestic water, replacing fossil fuel heating systems.

Together with Miele

Aligned with Miele’s objectives, the company’s management is placing greater emphasis on sustainability and employee development, with the goal of expanding the product and solutions portfolio and providing outstanding pre- and post-sales services.

Our Climate Targets

As part of the Miele Group, we support the targets of the Paris Climate Agreement to reduce global warming by 2°C by 2100 as compared to the pre-industrial era.
For this reason, we aim for a permanent reduction in the GHG emissions generated by our business activities.
To this end, we have set ourselves emission reduction targets that are compatible with the Paris Agreement and are based on the reduction pathways of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Our Contribution to the European Green Deal

The European Green Deal aims to make the EU climate neutral by 2050 and to strengthen a resource efficient, circular and competitive industrial landscape. Our technologies already support these ambitions: energy efficient systems, reusable packaging solutions, and a proportion of recyclable, CO₂-reduced stainless steel. This allows us to offer flexible, future-ready options that help customers align with evolving European sustainability objectives – without limiting technical performance or regulatory adaptability.
