LC 80
High-Capacity Cart Washer Disinfector
LC 80 is a high-capacity cart washer-disinfector available in different configurations, i.e. thermal disinfection, chemical disinfection, or both (hybrid). The selection of different heating configurations – electrical, steam, or both – allows the facility to fit any utility availability.
Available in single or double door (pass-through) versions, LC 80 can be equipped with full-visibility double-HST glass or stainless steel automatic sliding door(s). Customers can choose between two standard different chamber depths – 225 cm / 88.58″ and 300 cm / 118.11″ – and can completely customize the chamber length up to 450 cm. A PLC microprocessor with a user-friendly HMI allows operators to refine the process and customize the washing and disinfection programs.
The LC 80 cart washer disinfector can treat several items, such as instrument containers and lids, bowls, surgical instruments, transport carts or other bulky items with dedicated racks.

Wide Range of Carts
A comprehensive range of wash carts for different items, including carts with water connection to wash the items from the inside. Each wash cart is identified with a dimensional class.
Thanks to dedicated loading carts, it is possible to wash/disinfect up to 80 clogs or 56 instrument trays per cycle in the standard 300cm-long chamber.
Hygienic Design
The AISI 316 L stainless steel chamber is designed with rounded corners to minimize water retention and stagnation points where dirt could accumulate. In addition, a lateral tilting platform allows faster water dripping off the reprocessed carts.
LC 80 hydraulic design has separate circuits for washing and rinsing with dedicated pumps in case of chemical and hybrid versions, enabling greater removal of disinfectant from the reprocessed items.
All-Direction Washing
The washing chamber is equipped with multiple horizontal oscillating pipes on each side, each with numerous spraying nozzles. To ensure a complete and optimal washing of the load in all directions – top and bottom included, the nozzles spray water from four sides.
Thanks to an automatic manifold connection, carts and trolleys can be equipped with washing arms or a washing injection systems. This allows the validated treatment of surgical instruments and items with hollow surfaces, extending the trolley washer function range by making it a flexible device.
Triple Configuration
Thermal Disinfection
Water pre-heating tanks grant fast water loading at the required temperature to reduce overall cycle time. Thermal disinfection reaches temperature up to 93°C / 200°F. Once creating a new cycle recipe, it is possible to select time-temperature settings or a desired A0 value.

Chemical Disinfection
Aimed at reprocessing thermolabile non-invasive medical devices. Thanks to its pre-heating tanks it is possible to recover the disinfectant solution – and refresh it – in the next cycles. This reduces water and energy consumption. A separate circuit performs the rinse cycle to remove the disinfectant from the reprocessed items.
Compliant with ISO 15883-1/5/7.
A hybrid version is also available for CSSDs that need to reprocess both thermostable and thermolabile items.
Sustainability Features
Thanks to the steam condenser with heat recovery system, the steam released during the hottest phases of the treatment cycle (mainly thermal disinfection and drying) becomes an excellent source for energy to pre-heat DI water. To further reduce utility consumption, the drying duration can be controlled by a humidity sensor. It stops the drying phase when humidity levels reach the target set for dry goods so not to waste energy by drying items more than needed.

According to the customer’s needs, it is possible to install LC 80 with different systems for the automatic loading and unloading of carts. Multiple solutions are available using conveyors, conveyor belts, or hooks.

Power Levels
Some facilities need lower maximum installed power. In its electric version, the LC 80 can be configured as a reduced-power version.
Water Recycling
In addition to saving water, LC 80 efficient recovery system saves energy and chemicals. Depending on the device configuration, it is possible to install more than one water and energy recovery systems, making the most out of LC 80 capabilities.
Hydraulic Filtering System
A three-level water filtration system allows to capture the residues during the washing phases. In addition, a fine self-cleaning filter reduces the need of daily cleaning the filter, whilst still avoiding the risk of clogging and protecting the recirculation point.
Drying Efficacy
A built-in HEPA 14-filtered air drying system ensures the complete internal and external drying of all items. Adjustable time and temperature settings allow for the optimization of cycle duration and energy consumption.
