VS L – Small & Medium Capacity

The VS L laboratory steam sterilizers are intended for sterilizing the following goods:

• Liquids in open or loosely closed containers in the pre-vacuum process
• Solid and porous goods according to the pre-vacuum process or pulsed vacuum process with subsequent drying
• Infectious goods – effluent decontamination options suggested.

Custom-made racks and trolleys are available. Alternatively, sliding shelf supports can be mounted on each side of the sterilizer chamber walls.

AISI 316L stainless steel chamber with high-efficiency heat-transfer full jacket system for even heat distribution. Doors internally made of AISI 316L stainless steel with no welding. Heat insulation with durable reusable cover for fast service maintenance at a lower cost.

In BSL laboratory applications steam sterilizers play a key role as part of the building containment system. Double door sterilizers act as a pass-through between hot and cold zones (or sterile and non-sterile zones) and must be sealed to the wall to form a cross contamination barrier. We offer different biocontainment barrier solutions:

• Air differential seal – This solution provides a solid AISI 304 stainless-steel flange bolted to the sterilizer body, and stainless-steel panels inserted between the flange and the building structure such as ceiling, floor and walls. All panels are tightly fitted to their adjoining surfaces with seams filled with silicone.

• Bioseal – This solution includes two stainless-steel 304 flanges – one fixed or welded to the chamber and a second one fixed to the building structure. Flanges are connected via long-life flexible gasket to ensure the complete airtightness.

This feature is used for processing contaminated items like biohazardous laboratory waste (BSL-3 and BSL-4). To prevent harmful pathogens and viruses from exiting the sterilization chamber during the exhaust and vacuum phases, the condensate produced during the processing cycle is decontaminated before discharge to the drain. The drain is controlled by an hydrophobic 0.2 μm (8μ inch) filter and both filter and condensate are sterilized during the cycle. To increase the safety of the decontamination cycle a second hydrophobic  filter can positioned on the drain line. As alternative, an incineration systems can be installed for a thermal deactivation of germs, bacteria, virus, spores and survival forms.
