Low Temperature Vaporized H2O2 Sterilizers - Medium Capacity
PL 70 is a low-temperature sterilization system with a chamber capacity of up to 84 litres / 2.88 cu ft.
The device is designed for terminal sterilization of moist and heat-sensitive medical devices employing vaporized hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). It is suitable for surgical instruments in metal, metal alloys, light non-metallic alloys, robotic and micro-surgery systems.
PL system is compatible with a wide range of materials, including stainless steel, silver, gold, platinum, tungsten, ceramic as well as plastics materials and 3D-printed resins. It can sterilize instruments with lumen with a maximum length of up to 2200 mm / 86.62″ and a minimum diameter of up to 0,5 mm / 0.02″.
Vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilization with SteelcoPro PL sterilizing agent is safe, fast, and environment friendly. The device operates at low pressure and low temperature ensuring instruments protection and and low energy consumption.
Available as single or double manual hinged door, it features flexible load capacity configurations. Loading and unloading operations can be done at an ergonomic height of 1020 mm / 40.17″. PL 70 is controlled by a PLC digital microprocessor with a 7″ color touch-screen HMI.
The PL Series of Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilizers (HPSs) meets all the required standards.
High Performance
Five high-performance work cycles are programmed at the factory, validated, and available for running from the control panel:
- Fast | Dedicated to non-lumened instruments with and without articulations;
- Flex | For flexible endoscopes, including Da Vinci® instruments;
- Standard | For mixed loads: flexible, rigid, and semi-rigid lumened and non-lumened instruments;
- Intensive | For mixed loads: flexible, rigid, and semi-rigid lumened and non-lumened instruments with more challenging dimensions;
- Superfast | Ultra-fast cycle for reduced loads that can be activated on all models of the PL range upon request.
RFID Identified Cartridge with Poka-Yoke Design
The single-use cartridge avoids any waste due to the short expiry time of the sterilant after loading in the machine. The cartridge is equipped with an RFID identifier providing information on production batch, expiry date, and H2O2 quantity. It prevents the cartridge’s reuse, incorrect re-filling, or use after the expiry date. Ergonomic front-loading cartridge system with “poka-yoke” design, which totally avoids operators’ mistakes.
RFID or Barcode Recognition
A barcode or RFID scanner is available as an option. It ensures an easy and quick recognition of both operator and load.
Process Quality Focus
To ensure efficiency and safety in the sterilization process, the PL Series has a wide selection of features, among which are: a dedicated humidity check to control the humidity level and remove excess moisture; redundant sensors to monitor chamber pressure and temperature in real time, thus ensuring optimal performance; an external plasma generator system to better protect both the instruments and the environment.
Biological & Chemical Indicators
For assuring a safe sterilization process, we provide a comprehensive assortment of chemical and biological indicators, including rapid-read solutions and their associated incubators.
Rapid Read Incubator features a dedicated traceability software as standard, with the aim of recording all the results of self-contained biological indicators (SCBIs) with fluorescence readout. The system also allows a completely automatic traceability procedure through digitalization solutions or a manual one to meet all customer requirements.
Packing tape is also available with a chemical indicator to ensure H2O2 correctly entered in contact with the load.
Control System and Traceability
The large 7″ touch-screen control panel displays bright, easy-to-read information. It offers an intuitive and practical aid for operators in their daily tasks.
An integrated thermal printer provides cycle data storage. If connected to the network, the sterilizer can be easily integrated with our digital traceability solutions.
Features
Small Footprint
A reduced footprint meets the features, benefits, and performances of large-capacity models. It can also sterilize Da Vinci® instruments. The hinged door is designed for small spaces.
Excellent Penetration
Excellent penetration into hollow instruments. Lumens with minimum Ø 0.5 mm and maximum length 2200 mm, with single, double, and triple channels.
Plug & Play
The models of the PL series are all Plug & Play, ready to be started quickly in any location.
Loading Flexibility
Semi-extractable shelves and a perfect range of accessories, including baskets and inserts, guarantee excellent loading flexibility in relation to the choice of the cycle and an adequate diffusion and penetration of the hydrogen peroxide vapor.
Environment Care
Hydrogen Peroxide emissions are up to 70 times lower than the most restrictive worldwide guidelines. Thanks to a triple safety system, H2O2 release is reduced to almost zero.
Instrument Care
The sterilization processes have been specially developed to use a low H2O2 total dose to protect instruments and ensure they have a longer life.
