The New Frontier in Just-in-Time Sterilization
SteelcoBelimed expands its endoscope reprocessing portfolio with the launch of Steri Case, an innovative closed case designed for the washing and liquid chemical sterilization of endoscopes, while maintaining continuous leak test control throughout the entire cycle.
Steri Case represents a new approach to just-in-time sterilization, enabling the immediate availability of reprocessed endoscopes for patient use. It has been specifically developed for departments that manage a limited number of endoscopes and cannot rely on CSSD terminal sterilization workflows, yet still need to cope with intense clinical workloads.
Designed for flexibility and immediate use
Steri Case can process:
- 1 small flexible endoscope (maximum 2 channels)
- Up to 6 rigid endoscopes without channels
- Up to 2 rigid single-channel endoscopes
It is suitable for use in Pneumology, Urology, Gynecology, ENT, Intensive Care Units, and other departments where rapid availability and high safety standards are essential.
Complete and controlled reprocessing cycle
The system allows a complete reprocessing cycle within a closed environment, including:
- Cleaning
- Liquid chemical sterilization
- Rinsing
Throughout the entire cycle, leak test monitoring is continuously maintained, ensuring maximum control and protection of the endoscope.
Compatibility and ease of integration
Steri Case is compatible with the EW 1, EW 1 S, and EW 1 S MAXI endoscope reprocessors’ series, including rack configurations. It can also be integrated into already installed units, allowing facilities to upgrade their processes without major infrastructural changes.
Safe storage and transport
When stored in ISO Class 7 environments (ISO 14644-1:2016), Steri Case can maintain the microbiological conditions achieved during sterilization for up to 6 hours.
In addition, the closed-case design enables the safe transport of endoscopes directly to the patient room, protecting them from recontamination and eliminating unnecessary handling. The endoscope is removed from the Steri Case only immediately before use on the patient, minimizing operator manipulation and associated risks.
