The PWD 86 Series of high-capacity instrument washer-disinfector is designed to meet the cleaning challenges of the increasing complexity of your CSSD.
A synergy of exclusive technological innovations, connecting efficiency and sustainability, allow for a complete washing, thermal-disinfection, and forced-hot-air drying of all types of surgical instruments. Both models in the PWD 86 Series are equipped with: variable-speed pump, modular racks, and a drying system with two HEPA filters. These features provide improved cleaning and drying performance, whilst reducing water and energy consumption to an unparalleled level.
The PWD 86 Series is available in two configurations with different widths, but sharing the same main features and performances. They both conveniently use the same wash racks and modules, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Thanks to our new patented “Power Pulse Cleaning” technology, the PWD 86 Series features an improved cleaning of hollow instruments that are difficult to reprocess, thus minimizing or eliminating the need for manual pre-cleaning.

Water & Energy Recovery Systems
The combination of the different tank options allows you to reach the optimal configuration, as efficiently and as fast as you need. PWD 86 series can be equipped with different types of built-in water tanks:
- DI Pre-Heating Tank: to speed up the process by preheating the final rinse;
- Recycling Tank: to recycle the final rinse water to be used in the following washing cycle.
The steam condenser with heat recovery absorbs heat during the drying phase to preheat final rinse water for the following cycle. Incoming cold demineralized (DI) water passing through a heat exchanger assists to save both heating energy and cooling water.
Automatic Rack Recognition
Racks’ configuration is customisable according to the items to be reprocessed.
When loading them in the washer disinfector, an antenna scans their configuration and suggests the optimal cleaning and disinfection cycle.
Efficacy of the cleaning and disinfection cycles is improved and cycle time, water usage, and energy consumption are optimized.
Double Drying System
The drying system provides optimal performance: it saves process time and improves drying quality thanks to two blowers, heating elements, and HEPA filters. HEPA filters are located immediately before the chamber to minimize the risk of potential particles entering the chamber.
Intuitive Process Monitoring
Color-coded messages help quickly identify the cycle status. They are displayed on the HMI and directly in the chamber through LED coloured lights.
Hygenic Design and Water Filtration
The washing chamber has rounded edges in order to avoid any dirt traps, minimizing the risk of microbial growth. Sump fine-filter mesh reduces the size of the debris that can recirculate to less than 0.2 mm only. This eliminates the need to equip the rotating washing arms with open ends for inspection and cleaning access, thereby saving time and extending the pump life.
Dedicated Loading Solutions
A full range of transfer trolleys, loading / unloading conveyors, and pass-through hatches or windows is available to match your perfect workflow layout. Automatic conveyors can be provided with integrated drawer for canisters up to 4×10 liters capacity.

Dynamic Water Loading
A variable speed pump allows the adjustment of water pressure / flows according to the water amount needed on each used rack configuration.
Hybrid Configuration
Electrical resistors and steam coil can be installed together in the same heat exchanger. When working simultaneously, they speed up the reprocessing cycle.

Cycle and instrument traceability are available with SmartHub digital solutions.
The 7″ color touch displays, on both loading and unloading side, are easy to use.
